Biografia

Richard E. Grant urodził się 5 maja 1957 roku w Mbabane, stolicy Królestwa Suazi. Studiował anglistykę i dramat na Uniwersytecie w Capetown, w Południowej Afryce. W 1982 roku przeniósł się do Londynu, gdzie rozpoczął pracę w teatrze, a w 1987 roku zadebiutował na dużym ekranie w komedii "Withnail and I" Bruce'a Robinsona. Wystąpił potem m.in. w filmach: "How to Get Ahead in Advertising" (TVP: "Jak odnieść sukces w reklamie"), "Mountains of the Moon" (video: "Księżycowe góry"), "Henry & June" (video: "Henry i June"), "LA Story" (video: "Historia z Los Angeles"), "Hudson Hawk", "Jack and Sarah" (video, TVP: "Jack i Sarah"), "Gracz" i "Pret-a-Porter" Roberta Altmana, "Dracula" Francisa Forda Coppoli, "Wiek niewinności" Martina Scorsese, "Portret damy", "Keep the Aspidistra Flying" / "A Merry War", "Spiceworld" i "The Match". W telewizji wystąpił m.in. w następujących filmach i serialach: "Nieuchwytny Smith", "Karaoke", "Doctor Who", "Shooting Stars" i "Absolutnie fantastyczne". Opublikował powieść i dzienniki zatytułowane "With Nails".
