Biografia
Roy Harold Scherer Jr. (Winnetka, Illinois, 1925 - Beverly Hills, Califòrnia, 2 d'octubre de 1985), més conegut pel seu nom artístic Rock Hudson, fou un actor de cinema estatunidenc, famós pels seus papers de galant. Va tenir la connotació d'haver estat un dels primers casos publicitats de sida als Estats Units. Durant la Segona Guerra Mundial es va allistar a la Marina dels Estats Units i a la fi de la guerra es va traslladar a Los Angeles, on va treballar en diversos oficis (carter, camioner, taxista), alternant aquests treballs amb nombrosos càstings. Des de 1948 i comença apareixent en petits papers. El 1949 aconsegueix un contracte amb Universal Studios.
